As an engineer, I have to thank you for sharing this because it’s unfortunately so relatable. Nowadays I’m seeing a toxic trend in the industry— that caught me already too many times — that is hiring minorities, namely women, as tokens. It’s offensive and mentally draining for the employer who sees herself in that situation.
