I actually wonder if social media don’t actually have a positive impact. Just like you mentioned about the "bicycle case" (that was actually very helpful for women and patriarchy tried to take it down), social media allows teenagers to find mind-alike people and supportive communities that would not be available for them otherwise. This is especially important for teens who live in small and remote places.
