I can confirm this! I only had one story trending on Medium and it was a consequence of external traffic. The story was pinned in some tech forum I didn't even knew about and was widely discussed in that forum. It ended up going pretty well on Medium as well. Funny enough, I received so many hate comments from Trolls that I am not sure if I ever want to get trending again.
