The title of the story is exactly "What women need from men in the workplace", and this is what the story and me are trying to telling you: what we need.
I'm explaining why your comment is not helpful for the discussion, but the other way around. Navigate to any post in this platform or other, where a woman talks about her experience in terms of bias. There is always men who feel the need to deviate the conversation from the core issue, namely by stating "that's a generalization", or "that doesn't happen in my experience". We need men who acknowledge this situation as a problem and ask and/or suggest solutions for it.
